Lupe Vélez in "The Girl from Mexico" (1939)
Check out this scene from the 1939 RKO film The Girl from Mexico starring Lupe Vélez.
Lupe Vélez perfected the "Mexican Spitfire" character. The character is considered a stereotype of Latina women, but Ms. Vélez did enjoy making these films very much.
