Unsung of the Screen: Calvin Lockhart (Post Three)

Calvin Lockhart would continue his work in film and played some of Black American Cinema's most popular characters, including "Silky Slim" in the Poitier-Cosby film Uptown Saturday Night and "Biggie Smalls" in their second film Let's Do It Again. He also had guest roles on television shows such as Good Times and Get Christie Love!

Unfortunately, Calvin's career would soon begin to dwindle, just as "Blaxploitation" was beginning to die out and his roles became scarce. He was however the first black actor to work with the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1974.

Here is a scene from the 1977 film "Baron" (that actually just really made me laugh lol)
